   Bonded Eternally is placed in Shibo Town, Japan. Shibo is translated into deceased in Japanese. The story's two main characters, Noel (pronounced like Mole only an "N" and not a "M") Roberts and Rei Yamase, who are both fifteen years old and just beginning their first year at Senshuraku High School. Senshuraku is translated into final day in Japanese.  The reason behind the names of places having something to do with death and such is because in the first episode, the main characters attempt suicide, by getting hit by a car.
